abs every single day that i set foot in my gym.
this photo was taken 2 weeks ago, a few days before starting oxyshred.
excited to retake the photo and see where i am at, at the 2 week mark and 4 week mark.
still eating lean, all sugar cravings have stopped and i just want protein and veggies at the moment which is great news for me. on top of that, attempting to hit the gym 4 times per week with the intention of doing an extra day when i’m not feeling so flat.
i took these measurements last week as my comparison for the end of my oxyshred trial.
THIGH L 21 7/8 R 22 2/8
HIP 37 1/8
MIDDLE 32.5
WAIST 27.5
CHEST 34 5/8
BIs L 11 R 11 1/8
HEIGHT 164cm
WEIGHT 55.8kg
it’s really strange putting all my measurements up but it is the only way to keep track and really see the difference.
i’ll be posting a bit more info on my oxyshred experience, my diet changes and also my increased cardio and weights sessions to really make the most of the trial.

i did so much research into what these lean women were doing in their training routine since i don’t seem to be getting past my brick wall (i cant tell if it’s there or in my head anymore). while i was researching, i realised that my routine and diet is on track but what i was missing in comparison to these women were supplements. in particular a fat burner…the popular choice being dfine8.
i went to a health store and noticed there was oxyshred as well. from what i was informed there isn’t a huge difference, but oxyshred does have some added vitamins so i went with oxyhred, plus you get more serves.
i chose the grapefruit flavour which is actually really nice and a bit sour but only taking it in the afternoon at the moment. i’m still working out whether i should/want to be taking it twice a day on training days otherwise i am taking it once a day in the arvo, pre workout.
currently on day 4, found that i don’t tend to feel as hungry and i do get a sustained burst of energy lasting enough time to keep me excited to get into the gym and throughout my workout. no jitters, anxiety etc, just great vibes.
i’ll post all my measurements on monday so i can do a comparison over the next few weeks. if you have any tips or advice or even feedback, would be very interested to hear!!!
i love seeing articles in the age or online in general, that relate back to me and something i have done.
when i was on my own, within 2 months of leaving the house i shared with my partner, i purchased my first home. despite it being really hard on my own with no financial assistance from parents (well i did get help but am paying them and the house off now)it has been the best move i have made.
more women should stand up and move forward and do what they need to do. it’s liberating and gives you so much control and confidence not to mention shows your independence.
i went to my first ever baby shower yesterday and it was too cute.
jayde’s little guy is due on the 14th of july, so only another 2 months to go.
i didn’t take many photos since my phone is dying, but she made amazing cupcakes, they look professional!
i am so excited for her, she looks gorgeous and she is going to make an amazing mum <3
i have no idea where time is going but another week is down. and i cannot wait to leave the office, go to the gym and have a cosy night at home, perhaps a sleep in before going to the gym again.
i’m really looking forward to a lot of rest, a lot of intense gym and just hanging about the house.
i’m working on growing my booty (intense isolation) and growing abs so have added a lot of extra exercise to each day but hopefully that extra 15 mins per training session will pay off.
yawwwnnnnnnn 1.5 hours until i can go home, had a really big steak for lunch so i’m feeling a bit sluggish!

another recipes i came across on teresa cutter’s website, but did a bit of readjusting and go by feel since i didn’t have all the ingredients and wanted a few extras.
these are really good for breakfast with a coffee or as a snack before or after gym since they have a bit of sugar, heaps of protein and carbs.
i used:
3 smashed bananas
350 gms oats
3 scoops casein protein powder
handful currants
big spoon of honey
chopped up dates
60ml olive oil (they are a lot more dry with this amount of oil)
how:
mush bananas in a bowl with a fork, add all other ingredients and mix with your hands. make rough shaped cookies and place in over for 30 - 40mins at approc 160 degrees celcius or until crispy and brown. this recipe made about 20 larger cookies.
teresa’s recipes is much yummier and way more moist, but this suits my needs better and still tastes great. they are SO filling as well. enjoy!
back into training with a monster amount of motivation, i decided i needed some decent snacks to get me through the day but also keep chocolate and sweet cravings away.
i found a recipe by theresa cutter for protein balls and did a bit of a take on what she does. i absolutely hate following recipes and ended up going by feel…
i used:
300 gms any nuts i could find left over (almonds, cashews etc)
3 scoops casein protein flavorless
handful of dates
2 tbs cocoa powder
1tbs vanilla essence
1/2 tsp cinnamon
honey
and coconut for rolling in
how:
blend the nuts to make crumbs, then add all other ingredients and blend again. add a huge spoon of honey if you need extra sweetness (like me) and add some water if it’s not binding together.
they are super filling and a great pre-workout snack to have on your way to the gym. i find that if i don’t have a real snack i am starved by the time i get home and have dinner!!!
hope you enjoy them!

getting a bit bored of the high rep routine i have going and hit a very severe that i just cannot overcome. so, with jamies help, i am now training a completely new style and routine to achieve results through powerlifting…heavy weights low reps (mike o’hearn style :P)
60kg total deadlift 1 rep
so we are trying to find our new little weekend hang out spot and finally got down to the peddler on springfield road.
while the reviews are whinging and ranting about the over priced coffee at $4.80 and how terrible it tasted, clearly, these people a) do not work in the city and b) drink instant coffee. their coffee was absolutely spot on, or maybe it was the young guy we were lucky enough to get. no burnt milk or dirty bitter coffee at my end.
and yeah, the meals were on the richer end on the scale but i couldn’t flaw their food, which was a huge home-style serve of poached eggs on toast with baked beans. everything was very fresh and the poached eggs were in fact poached, not hard boiled. i applaud them for that.
$55.00 later, we had a coffee the size of a swimming pool and a huge feast. sure, it was expensive and not really what you expect to pay in this area but it was damn good. perhaps something we can do once every few months as a treat and really indulge.
i didn’t take too many photos but here is the ‘expensive’ coffee…which really was great and worth every cent.

i know i have been lacking on posts and updates but they will come back soon!!!
been absolutely hectic and despite doing so much, it hasn’t really been THAT much.
we’re looking at renovating the kitchen and re doing the yard so there will definitely be updates on that to come.
i absolutely love these floorboards…and the kitchen in general, simplicity at its best

double date night with LB and Rhys was long overdue. LB made some amazing pizzas while i supplied the dessert.
feeling a bit lazy, i took the short cut and used some puff pastry topped with thinly sliced apple. baked for 20 mins at 220 degrees then topped with some berries that i heated up on the stove and a big scoop of fig and honey ice cream.
next time i’ll make it all from scratch and add in a few more bits and pieces to make it even yummier.
